More Random Topics

First, some great Uppercase Living news. Through 7/23, here's the deal that's going on:

Purchase $40 or more, get $5 off your order
Purchase $60 or more, get $10 off your order
Purchase $80 or more, get $15 off your order
Purchase $100 or more, get $20 off your order

Wow- how fun! Just thought I'd share the deals. Please let me know if you're interested or have any questions. Here's the link to my website. Hopefully at some point I'll have pictures to show of what we're doing in Annika's room with Uppercase Living.

The other night, Annika requested her raincoat. I confirmed with her multiple times that this did not mean we were going outside, but she persisted. So she wore the jacket around the house until bathtime. She's a character.

And on the pregnancy front: a week or two to go here. My hemoglobin is back down below a 9... and now my platelets are down too. The hematologist is still puzzled by me, which is so discouraging. So I am going to go back one more time before my due date to get checked again, and if I go down more, then we'll do a blood transfusion right before delivery.

Updates

Happy Anniversary! Eight years ago today I married my best friend.
It still surprises me how much fun being married can be. God is so good!
We've been doing the big girl bed for about a week and a half now... and it's gone better than expected. The first time she went down for a nap in the bed and it took her a few tries to get the concept. The first night was great... and she continues to do really well.
It's fun to go in and look at this little girl in a big bed (and see where she ends up!).

We got new windows (so you can now see out of them), and she pulls up the little ottoman and enjoys the view.
Giving the baby a pacifier...
Hmmm... we need to work on the sharing thing before her sister comes.

Florida Part 4- the end!

Happy 18 months old to Annika!

Here's the last few pictures- these are our travel pics. I wasn't sure what to expect with a toddler... but she was fabulous. Between watching movies, reading books, snacking, and sleeping, she was very busy. She made the trip quite a breeze and we all agreed that the drive went faster than we expected!

My little multitasker- reading and watching her movie at the same time.
And yes, we pack a lot. But we're prepared for most anything!

Snacking? and watching Veggie Tales

Snacks

Okay, this one was in our car... but I liked it!
Reunion with Daddy- her first reaction was a shy smile... it was too sweet.
We love Daddy!

Florida Part 3

She's looking so grown up... she's 18 months old tomorrow. :(

This was our last night- hanging out with Grandpa while Grandma and Mommy shopped.

Splashing in the fountain at the shopping center. She was quite a character on this particular evening- they had fun music playing as we walked along outside, and she would stop walking and dance every few steps. It was too funny.

There were a few chances she got to watch TV.
Of course, it wasn't all fun. She had to get some work done, too.
Very busy!

Florida Part 2

Checking out a parasailer with Grandpa (I love how she has her arm around him)Oh Grandpa, you are so funny...
Hanging out at the baby pool- where we spent most of her awake time during the day. A new experience for me, for sure!
Her beloved basketball...
Annika propped her leg there herself as if that was the perfect pose.
"WHOA." a word that she says a lot. :)

Florida part 1

And we're back! Annika and I went to Florida with my parents... what a great, relaxing getaway with lots of great memories! Look out- Dad takes a LOT of pictures, so it was hard to narrow down what to post!
"Would you like some tea?"
Mom brought along toys that were fun for all... See the guy (a stranger) drinking Starbucks in the background? He patiently put aside his coffee multiple times to drink the tea that Annika offered. It was fun to see random adults playing along!
a classic

She thought it was hilarious to roll her little basketball between her legs. What a great shot!
