Hiding from the paparazzi behind the dark shades... aka her mom, dad, and grandma and grandpa. How ridiculous we looked to people passing by... we would be on the ground in front of her on the deck, with our behinds in the air, trying to make her smile and get the pictures... crystal clear to anyone that we were first time parents and grandparents!

Florida- part 2
This cute little swim outfit (and hilarious, fabulous gold sandals!) is compliments of our cousins- Mindy, Lisa, and Jamie... and the sunglasses of course are from Grandma Cheryl. Don't you just want to eat her up?!

Whew
Whew! We got home from our Florida vacation late Monday night. Destin was great, the marriage conference was good, and Annika was perfect!
Tuesday we got to meet our new cousin Levi, and then Wednesday was my first day back to work! Waking up at 4:30-4:45 in the morning was rough, but the day went great (it didn't hurt that our team lunch was at Kobe!), praise the Lord.
And without further ado, some of the cuteness that occurred in Florida (we'll call this Florida part one, and more to follow):

This is at the Pensacola Naval Aviation museum (Daddy and Annika and the supercool whatever it is plane in the background). We all had so much fun there (is the sarcasm evident?!)... Actually, it IS really fun to see Andy so excited about stuff...he would say "look honey, it's the blah blah blah! they used it in blah blah War for blah blah blah." I LOVE that boy, but fortunately or unfortunately, I don't share all of his interests!
Her shirt says "I need a vacation." Because you know her life is so rough.
Stay tuned for the sunglasses and swimsuit pictures (one is shown at left)- she is hilarious!

3 Months Old!
Well, 3 months old tomorrow, to be exact. But we are leaving bright and early tomorrow for her first trip to Florida! Andy and I will be at the Weekend to Remember down there, while Mom and Dad watch her. We are pretty excited! I love how this look says, "Mom, you are seriously not cool." Preview of the teenage years. :)
Those delicious cheeks... Her new thing, which you can't see great in this picture... she bites her bottom lip (can you call it biting if she doesn't have teeth?!) It is too funny.

Hello Goodbye
At the end of January, Andy said goodbye to the band (Psalm 150, also known as Don't Expect Much and Getting Better) to spend more time at home with his girls, because practice took him away once a week, sometimes more, for several hours.
In March, he said hello again to record the songs he wrote in the studio in Roanoke (yes, Roanoke, IL has a recording studio!) He will make multiple studio appearances... so basically, he calls himself a studio musician for Psalm 150. The CD's release date is as yet unannounced. :)

How cool is he?! My very own rock star.

Bad Mommy, Good Annika, Great Daddy...
Bad Mommy: Got home from Girls Night a little before 3 am.
Good Annika: We tried it, and she did it- Annika slept about 11 hours last night!
Great Daddy: He took the 7:00 am feeding so Mommy could sleep.
Methinks this is the beginning of a beautiful day!
